DROP IN POLICIES ~ GROUP CLASSES
We appreciate you calling ahead of time and scheduling an appointment and orientation before just showing up for a class. CAUTION: If you have done pilates at another facility and the words "pelvic floor", "transverse abdominus", "scoop", "ribcage placement", or "scapula stability" are not common cueing words coming from your instructor then it sounds like maybe you really haven't done pilates - at least not real pilates.
Pilates is not the type of exercise you will understand in just one "drop-in" session. Often it can be overwhelming (especially if you think you have been doing pilates only to find out it wasn't true pilates) ~ we like to explain things to you first and direct you to which classes would best fit your needs and schedule. All this is done during your orientation appointment.
Pilates is different than any other type of exercise and has a learning curve that needs to be taken into consideration. Correct breathing, pelvic placement, shoulder girdle stability/mobilty and spinal articulation need to all be understood. Attempting to understand all of this in just one "drop-in" session without prior experience is nearly impossible. Things begin to "click" after 3 or 4 sessions but not after one drop in.
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Smart Start package: a "new to pilates package" that includes one month of the Monthly Unlimited Membership non-apparatus based group classes and up to 3 ~ 30 minute private sessions. Call or email today to set up your orientation apoointment! Smart Start Package $125
