PILATES CLASSICAL MAT Preserving the integrity of the system, this is the classical series of pilates taught the same way that Joseph himself taught it. The mat exercises move from one into the next focusing on flow, control, concentration, precision, centering, and use of the breath for non-stop movement. No props - just you and your mat. PILATES CLASSICAL W/RINGS A classical pilates mat class taught using the "magic circle" also called fitness circle. We just call them 'rings.' PILATES CLASSICAL W/ENDINGS Classical pilates "endings" complete this mat class. Endings may include the arm weight series, flex bands, wall or fitness circle. "Endings" move from one exercise into the next just like the mat focusing on correct alignment first and foremost. PILATESTRETCH Preserving the integrity of the system, this is the classical series of pilates taught using props - still following the order - AND ALSO incorporating stretches. Mat exercises as well as stretches will utilize the arc barrel and other small equipment such as weighted balls, mini-balls, foam rollers, flexbands (seaweed), rings, and exercise tubing. PILATES MAT INTEGRATED A pilates mat fusion class that uses the flow and exercises of classical pilates with pilates exercises from other techniques such as Stott and Physical Mind. You'll get all the flow of classical with great exercise variations including the magic circle! YOGA-LATES This class incorporates the classical pilates mat exercises interspersed with yoga postures to strengthen and stretch and align all the major muscle groups. You'll get a complete pilates workout plus a great yoga workout as well. PRECISION STRENGTH Pilates-based body sculpting using flex bands (seaweed), fitness circles, chi balls, mini balls, weighted bars, exer-cuffs (shackles) and more. You will simultaneously work several muscle groups at once focusing on balance, strength, core conditioning, and most importantly ~ YOUR POWERHOUSE! PILATES BODY - PC CIRCUIT Standing pilates exercises done with flexbands mixed with intervals of cardio on either the BOSU or step. A great way to get both cardio & strength done in the same class. Shoes required. |

PILATES GROUP EQUIPMENT CLASSES TOWER A fantastic workout on the pilates cadillac tower. TRIFECTA Cycle ~ Chair ~ Corepole with the Pilatestick This great circuit workout combines exercises on the pilates chair, cardio intervals on the cycle and pilates mat and reformer exercises done with the pilatestick and corepole. INFINITY Done on specialized equipment, this circular and spiral total body strengthening and stretching workout is like no other. MVe CHAIR WORKOUT Maximum Versitility exercise: Non-stop flow of exercises to streamline your whole body done to music ~ all on the pilates chair - called the "Wunda Chair" by Joseph Pilates. Easy to learn but challenging and fun! Note: must have a PilateSystem Membership to be eligible to take this class. MVe REFORMER WORKOUT Maximum Versitility exercise: Non-stop flow of exercises to streamline your whole body done to music on the pilates reformer. CYCLE & CYCLE ALA CARTE {cardio | standing | shoes} Group cardio class done on exercise bikes to high energy music. Cycle ala carte means you cycle on your own. Music provided. AEROBICS {cardio | standing | shoes} WE LOVE AEROBICS at The Notch! A mix of floor aerobics moves, some hi, some low impact (you do what works for you) done to fabulous dance music for the best cardio workout you can get! BOSU {cardio | strength | standing | shoes } The BOSU ("Both Sides Up") balance trainer is the hottest, newest and MOST FUN balance trainer on the market. Dome shaped with a flat bottom, the BOSU provides an excellent challenge in balance and stability with one stable surface and one unstable. Pilates, yoga, strength training, step aerobics and more can all be done on the BOSU. SLIDE {cardio | standing | shoes} Slide is a fantastic aerobic workout but also tightens and streamlines the inner/outer thighs and buttocks. Used as a training device by speed skaters all over the world slide is low impact, easy to learn and fun to do with great results. CARDIO CIRCUIT {cardio | standing | shoes} Variety is the spice of life in this all cardio class ~ 5 minute intervals on the rebounder, slide, kickboxing bags, BOSU & step. ZENERGY {strength | standing | meditation | relaxation | no shoes} A very eastern-inspired class, Zenergy incorporates an eclectic mix of mostly standing exercises derived from Tai Chi, martial arts, Qigong, and yoga utilizing pilates principles & breath. Taught in silence. YOGA {flexibilty | strength | standing | meditation | relaxation | no shoes} All levels are welcome in our yoga classes. Mats are provided but feel free to bring your own. |
